An elderly woman with an arrow in her chest. A murdered journalist. A decades-old cover-up. In Deadly Choices (Rim Country Mysteries Volume 3), Rita and Cliff Avery team up again to solve a spate of murders in their picturesque Arizona mountain town of Rim Vista. Rita’s mother Willow delivers gun-wrenching news while falling for the man who could be responsible for four deaths. And Rita must escape a string of life-threatening predicaments thrown at her by an assailant willing to do anything to scare Cliff off the case.

Does this book contain and explicit language or adult scenes?: No

My first in the Rim Country Mysteries, Rita and Cliff make a great team, especially if you consider they've just come from their honeymoon.  Cliff has found Rita's mother, Willow, who disappeared some 25 years ago and they go camping. Bears? Nope first an older woman dies in their camp and then they find Kevin dead.  The story goes on from there with twists and turns. The pace is kept lively with multiple attempts on Rita's life if Cliff doesn't stop his investigation. Old friends, secrets, and all the components of a mystery come in to play.

This is the third in the series, but easily read as a stand-alone. It has suspense, second chances, and romance.  Plan on reading well into the night.

FTC Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book in the hopes that I would post an honest review as part of this blog tour. This has not affected the content of my review in any way.
